Stema Systems developed the Silas system for digital acquisition of seismic data. The digital format provides significant advantages over analogue records, as data can be filtered and positions are added to every trace for mapping purposes.
Seismic reflection work knows a broad range of applications. Ranging from rig surveys where deep penetration is required with sparker sources to very high resolution surveys for sanitation works with sounder sources of up to 40 kHz. The Silas system provides the tool to master the whole range with a single system.
